It
gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Townview State School. Overlooking
the city of Mount Isa, our school has been providing quality education to the
students since 1965. During this time, Townview State School has developed a
strong tradition of academic, sporting and cultural success.
Our
quality staff work together to provide an environment where high
expectations for all students, are modelled on our motto of
tolerance, knowledge and integrity. Students wear the Townview uniform with
pride and are afforded every opportunity to access quality curriculum that
builds on their strengths.
Townview
State School offers excellence facilities such as air conditioned classrooms,
to allow our students to learn in a comfortable setting. To help ensure our
students are engaged in quality learning experiences, interactive whiteboards
are installed in every classroom which assists in building students digital capabilities.
We have two Computer Labs and our Resource Centre provides teachers and
students with state of the art research and multimedia facilities.
Our
school buildings are surrounded by three large ovals equipped with rugby league
posts, soccer goals and a cricket pitch.
A large undercover netball/volleyball court and an outdoor basketball
court ensures your child is able access many sporting opportunities. Two shaded
adventure playgrounds make break times enjoyable for our younger students.
All
